Sudbury Community House Community Catch Up & Art Project Day
Kaya! (Hello) Wandjool! (Welcome)
On Tuesday 26th of September, we celebrated the completion of the mural on the fence, and installed tiles that had been painted at the 30th Anniversary celebrations last year, at a community art event.
A very cooperative and successful Project.
More from the celebration of the
Community Catch Up and Art Project.
We were part of a Noongar welcome, and enjoyed a choir, traditional Aboriginal Food and BBQ with activities for the children and many good yarns.
Part of the Art Project was to do painted hand prints on the columns that form part of the Sudbury House. Façade.
Tiles for the Art Boards included the English Conversation Group and the Friendship Group as well as many others.
A ceremony of installing one of the many
Tiled Art boards was also done on the day.
Additional Panels of the fence had also been created
by the artists Leonie and Dianne.
Thank you to all those were apart of the Celebrations
and especially to Patricia and Mary who cooked us Kangaroo stew.
